“You are a store house of amazing untold speeches and applaud-winning presentations” – Samuel Agyeman-Prempeh
Communication has constantly and consistently been an issue of great concern to most prominent personalities across diverse walks of life. Communication is an art and skill, which needs nurturing and honing to perfection. Proper communication entails the ability to get one’s message well understood, and the mode in which it is transmitted.
INVENTS since 2007 has shown great commitment to using personal leadership models and projects to reach out to millions of youth across the African continent. INVENTS together with PM Media, organized the maiden edition of the Public Speaking Trademark on Sunday, 14th August, 2016.
Public Speaking Trademark is a workshop and a 3-level training program focused on making great communicators of the Ghanaian youth. The program is structured to be able to equip all participants with the required communication skills. The training program is targeted at attracting the youth and is necessitated by the desire and strong urge to correct the menace of poor communication prevailing within the Ghanaian society.
The workshop is designed to be held within the premises of the Christ the King Parish, Accra. Its maiden was led by Samuel Agyeman-Prempeh, who is a Mentoring Activist and the Co-Creator of the Role Model Africa Project. Samuel is an Inspirational Preacher, Corporate Master of Ceremonies and Events Executive. Samuel is a professional trainer and has spoken at several events and shared highly distinguished platforms with renowned speakers and personalities in Africa. He is also an author with five (5) books to his credit.
The class was modelled in two sessions; during the first session, participants were taken through the fundamentals of public speaking, which covered the proper use of parts of the body in communication and ethics in communication. The lesson was carried out through a combination of lectures and the use of videos to teach the class.
The second session afforded participants to practice their public speaking skills in turns of five minutes each. This session is meant to get the participants to appraise one another, thereby being able to get better at the art of being able to communicate effectively.
There are going to be two other editions of the Public Speaking Trademark to further the course of improved communication in September and October, after which participants will graduate and be certified as Class One communicators by INVENTS, together with PM Media. The session is recommended for all people across different age classes who desire to be better communicators in their various fields of endeavours. Interested participants should call 0503 183 699, to pre-register.
